About Us

The idea for VeeBee was inspired by the Coronavirus pandemic of 2020 and the subsequent need for social distancing. Surrounded by friends and loved ones who were stressed and overwhelmed by teleworking, parenting, and home schooling, VeeBee founder Elizabeth Perla offered to videoconference with their children to entertain the kids and give the parents some much-needed time to focus on other priorities. It was a hit from the start. The kids loved getting attention from someone new and the parents appreciated having a break.

From there, VeeBee developed quickly. Understanding that many high school and college students had free time and had lost their sources of income due to the pandemic, Liz realized that she could help students fill their time and earn money by working as virtual babysitters.
VeeBees would gain income and families would gain a much-needed service.
